The republican talking points and current strategy seems to be to counter all questions of how much they've fucked up by claiming that the desire and need for clarification and justification is politically motivated due to the midterm elections. So, when Rumsfeld is asked about their failure to make any progress with Iraq's puppet government, he refuses to answer the question, since it's "a political season", because he's a dick.
And is it just me, or is Donny starting to sound, ironically, like the South Park rendition of Hussein? "Hey, relax, guy!"

If you can't do the time don't do the crime...Liberal leadership hopeful Mikey Ignatieff really stepped in it when he said that the Israeli bombing of the village of Qana, in which two dozen Lebanese were slaughtered, was a war crime. Apparently, he thought people could make the distinction between criticizing a war-happy government and being opposed to a race of people. But, no. Jews across the country are terminating their membership in the Liberal Party, I assume in support of the notion that Israel can do no wrong and should be allowed to kill as many people as it deems necessary. The Harper has ripped a page out of Bush's strategy manual in that he's using this as a means to be divisive...stirring up animosity...accusing all Liberals of hating Israel. He has shown some restraint...so far the Prime Minister's resisted the urge to call Iggy a Nazi...but he's probably got people to do that for him...

Bush pardons himself of war crimes before being accused. Tucked into Bush's torture bill is immunity from war crimes prosecution for Junior and his cronies.
So, it's legal to torture people, but illegal to hold Bush and his staff accountable.
